Job Description

Multiple accounting processes would be used in the Accounting Supervisor role to create monthly financial statements. The general ledger would be used to process accounts payable in this role. The Accounting Supervisor could be required to assist with processing payroll, filing taxes, handling purchase orders, and other ad hoc accounting-related responsibilities. Additionally, the Accounting Supervisor is in charge of managing numerous expenditures.

Qualifications:

• Prepare personal property and fixed asset tax returns on a weekly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Supervise the accounting and administrative employees to ensure proper compliance with rules and procedures.
• Collects, analyses, and summarizes account data and trend information in order to provide customized financial reports.
• Prepares and recommends rules and procedures to maintain accounting controls.
• Investigate accounting and financial issues and provide solutions.
• Manage cash flow by analyzing payments, validating documents, and allowing disbursements within the terms and boundaries set for this role.
• Maintains consumer, vendor, and employee trust while protecting operations by keeping financial information private.
• As needed, collaborate with several departments to handle budgets, costs, and cash flow reports.
• Assess each statement and report to make certain that it is true, complete, and adheres to the established policies and processes in place.
• Compile and analyze account data to produce asset, liability, and capital account entries.

Skills:

• Working with a range of client books from various industries is necessary.
• When working overtime, the ability to keep up with a fast-paced atmosphere is a must.
• Consolidation and investment accounting experience are desired but not needed for this position.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with little or no guidance.
• Word and Excel abilities are required, as well as knowledge of the accounting software QuickBooks, which needs at least three years of experience with payroll, reporting, and daily data input in the program.
