For staff across all divisions, the Nurse Educator evaluates, plans, coordinates, administers, evaluates, and records educational services, such as orientation, required education, continuing education, and competence assessment.

Qualifications:

• These methods should be taught to personnel who care for patients with tracheostomies, colostomies, ostomies, wounds, medication management, and seizure support.
• Uses tools like needs assessments and quality-improvement activities to organize and/or deliver program materials that meet the needs of both individual participants and the department as a whole.
• Uses numerous successful teaching-learning approaches, including as lecture, case-study presentations, group learning activities, role-play, high-fidelity simulation scenarios, and return-demonstration skills labs.
• Effectively teaches nursing staff to help with practice improvement (remediation), career progression, or advancement in clinical practice, Maintains and enhances clinical skills and competency in practice, and serves as a role model for evidence-based practice.
• Allowing for a range of delivery modalities, such as telephone, in-home, or video injection education, can help patients and caregivers better understand their illnesses.
• Keeps track of regulatory requirements for the education and competency testing of nursing staff and coordinates programs to meet these needs.
• Integrate sales, reimbursement, and matrix partners compliantly to improve patient experience.
• Offering orientation programs, individual development plans, in-service education, and continuing education.
• Clinical unit-based educational programs are developed in conjunction with unit-based educators and nursing leaders to achieve targeted goals.
• Plans and carries out an efficient clinical preceptor program that makes use of an evidence-based educational curriculum. This program will comprise preceptor education and support activities. Using the result data as a guide, evaluates and makes adjustments to various parts of the preceptor program.

Skills:

• Requirements include completion of a recognized Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or Diploma Professional Nursing Program. Bachelor’s degree necessary, with Bachelor of Nursing degree desirable. Master’s degree in nursing (Nursing Education or similar specialty desired) or comparable field.
• Candidates must have shown leadership abilities and a dedication to educational efforts in order to encourage continuous improvement in the provision of patient care and services.
• A current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse (RPN) is required. Must have up-to-date BLS records (BLS Instructor preferred). Any extra clinical specialization or national certification in nursing professional growth would be ideal.
• You must be able to handle several priorities independently and possess strong verbal and writing communication abilities.
• able to talk to people in the community, people working in the hospital, peers, supervisors, and people under them, At least 5 years of relevant clinical experience is needed, and it’s best if that experience included more staff development or leadership responsibilities.
