We need an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to work on nuclear, energy, transportation, industrial/commercial, and government projects. Lab testing, field and lab initiatives relating to dams, nuclear reactors, transportation constructions, commercial development, and government services.

Qualifications:

• Design and authorize landfill and waste containment systems, geotechnical instrumentation, environmental cleanup, seismic engineering, and offshore field investigations.
• Field responsibilities include subsurface testing and soil and bedrock investigations for foundation design and construction. Test boring inspection, monitoring deep and shallow foundation construction, and ground improvements are examples.
• Knowledge and expertise in the phosphate mining business, specifically in the areas of mined land water management and reclamation, clay settling area design and construction, and gypsum stack design, operations, and closure.
• Performing engineering calculations for foundations and retaining walls under supervision from more experienced engineers. Compile and evaluate all of the information provided before.
• Participate in a broad variety of geotechnical engineering designs and studies, including slope stability analysis, seismic evaluations, shallow and deep foundation design, ground improvement design, excavation and shoring evaluations, and other challenging technical evaluations.
• Work under the direction of senior engineers to conduct slope stability, seepage, and settlement evaluations for dams and levees, trash dumps, and similar projects.
• Aid in the generation of design project deliverables, such as technical proposals, cost estimates, engineering reports, diagrams, specifications or even daily communications like this one.
• Provide geotechnical engineering services and aid Project Managers in delivering mining, infrastructure, and water resources project services to the public and private sector customers of the company.
• using either conventional technical tools or computer-based technical tools in order to execute engineering calculations (for example, slope stability, excavation support, settlement, and so on)
• Manage and execute geotechnical and construction materials testing projects safely, on schedule, and under budget.

Skills:

• Subsurface exploration and instrumentation expertise, including different drilling techniques, dug test pits, geophysics, and installation and monitoring of inclinometers and groundwater transducers
• Outdoorsmanship and the ability to operate in adverse weather conditions in distant and hazardous field areas Long distance trips and occasional overnight stays are possible.
• accreditation in EIT or the possibility to get certified in EIT within six months of graduation from a civil or geological engineering program at an ABET-accredited school or university
• The ability to operate individually and as part of a team, as well as the ability to communicate effectively in both situations.
• Slope stability, foundation engineering, and seismic assessment analyses: education and/or training for practical engineering solutions
