The Junior Financial Analyst helps the Finance team analyze, suggest, and execute profit improvement projects, strategic alignment activities, and sales and income goals. The Junior Financial Analyst will work with Marketing, Sales, Forecasting & Planning, Cost and Financial Accounting to assemble data and assess new products, promotions, and initiatives. The role updates reports, dashboards, and KPIs for corporate departments. Junior Financial Analysts help prepare presentations for management.

Qualifications:

• Assist in the planning, analyzing, developing recommendations, implementing, reporting, managing, delivering, and maintaining of new FMD tasks that may be identified as a result of the completed Operational/Organizational Assessment or other organizational realignments or remediation.
• Ensure that all departmental guidelines are given in a timely and accurate way. Reconciling accounts and keeping note of important dates is done on a regular basis. Journal entries and invoices are handled.
• Provides a comprehensive view of the project’s business case by doing a sensitivity analysis and taking into account the ramifications of various financing arrangements, utility rate structures, tax policies, and federal and state governmental support. Inspires the country’s government to build a major, renewable energy project.
• Analyze and report on the financial aspects of the company’s IT operations, including monthly/quarterly forecasting and capacity management.
• Track promises, responsibilities, and expenditures to ensure actions meet objectives. Help execute and design financial plans for specified projects.
• Support the execution of new budget and financial initiatives that may harm the business’s daily operations.
• Virtually every financial analyst job description requires proficiency with Microsoft Excel; expertise with data query/data management technologies is very advantageous (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
• Help come up with the budget and long-term plans. Communicate with all levels of management to make sure all budgets are done, Do an analysis of the difference between actual results and plans.
• Conducts a thorough analysis of the project’s commercial and financial problems by relying on their excellent analytical skills and their extensive experience in the real world. integrates a comprehensive life-cycle cost assessment to serve as a reference for the government’s appraisal of prospects and to help identify key business risks.
• Personnel changes, as well as new hires and terminations, are handled, as are accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and timesheet reconciliation.

Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Financial analysis expertise is a bonus, but it is not required. Knowledge of retail consumer products is an asset.
• An accounting or financial background is not required, although it’s a plus. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as other software programs are well-understood.
• It is required that you have expertise in the study of energy consumption, energy rates, life cycle cost analysis, and techniques used in the preparation of business case analysis for large scale private investments.
• 5 years of professional experience in program/project management in DOD acquisition or 5 years of professional experience in program/project management in Navy acquisition with proven and specialized knowledge, ideally in Navy/DOD Financial Management processes.
