The Transportation Manager works with home office, finance, field, and external partners to satisfy business goals and create best practices for field colleagues. This role is a leader in Transportation. Qualifications:

• To ensure efficient carrier set-up, reduce turnover, and increase productivity, create and maintain professional relationships with drivers and safe and trustworthy outside carriers.
• Effective goal formulation, delegation, and communication are all part of what it takes to be a good leader. Proper information flow is maintained. A well-informed workforce is more productive. Organizes gatherings to educate, train, and resolve problems. Ensures that employees are aware of the importance of customer service and the regulations and procedures of the firm.
• Performs performance assessments. Provides staff feedback and ideas. Sets staff performance targets. Formulates and executes remedial measures as appropriate; assures workers are treated equitably. Fixes worker issues quickly.
• satisfies stated objectives and ensures that corporate strategies, goals, missions, vision, and values are supported and enhanced by transportation policies
• Administrative activities include processing payroll and maintaining Net-Revenue budgeting, conducting driver counseling and accident reviews, and creating and filing records and reports.
• The creation and execution of programs to meet recognized wants and demands. An employee training follow-up is essential in order to ensure that personnel are adequately taught (e.g. customer service, equipment, safety)
• Assumes responsibility for and is responsible for helping to establish and implement effective transportation planning, budgeting, policies, and procedures.
• Develop, maintain, and present customer-specific data and financial analysis via face-to-face interactions at the customer’s location, monitor fleet operations and profitability, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• People should be managed via education and training, including assistance with internal and third-party (customer) systems.
• Plan equipment leasing and upkeep. Maintains on-board computer and navigation systems

Skills:

• A high school diploma or GED is required, as is three to four years of experience in transportation customer service, administration, or a similar field, as well as 1-2 years of supervising experience. Pay conflicts must be resolved, among other things.
• Ability to engage positively, as well as strong customer focus and vendor management abilities.
• computerized log system knowledge This role requires Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Needs analytical, financial, judgment, and decision-making abilities. Ability to negotiate and promote constant progress.
