Job Description

Analyzing and reporting on data quality issues is a primary responsibility of a Data Quality Analyst (DQA). As part of the DQA’s role, they will record and manage business processes in order to optimize workflows and simplify processes. Person should be curious, familiar with data quality methods of analysis, curious about the nuances of our data warehouse, and outspoken in a way that influences and creates changes and improvements in business processes as well as analytical capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Processes are broken down into major functions and documented in order to discover possibilities to automate and/or enhance current processes.
• Conduct an analysis of the data to see if it complies with the design specification (from source to target) and whether it exhibits the expected or predicted behaviors. Identify any quality concerns and provide recommendations for how they may be fixed.
• Engage with technical and operational subject matter experts in order to comprehend and gather metadata on systems, processes, reports, controls, data mobility, and business terms.
• Guides research teams and investigators by promoting best practices and educating study team members on protocol-specific data entry needs.
• All standard reports about contact data and attribute data should be looked over regularly. Work with other analysts and teams as needed to reach the goal of figuring out how good the data is. The analysis method should include both standard analysis and analysis methods that are unique to the company.
• Establish, monitor, and report on external data asset SLAs with the outsourced provider for quality assurance and production performance.
• Communicate the pervasiveness of data quality issues and their possible consequences, and take the initiative to resolve these issues via data integration and/or business process improvement.

• Systems integrator who works with other departments to solve problems, give support to users, and encourage integration of departmental data collection systems (e.g. databases and spreadsheets).
• Assist other departments in designing quality edit checks, test plans, etc. to ensure data quality goals are fulfilled.

Skills:

• Experience in data analysis in a company context, with an emphasis on direct and/or digital marketing, is preferred. Expertise in the following areas would be advantageous: joint database management; circulation planning; advertising agencies or brokers
• Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in business or a quantitative field (such as data analytics or statistics) or equivalent work experience in order to be considered for this position.
• Ability to apply quantitative concepts to business situations, including seeing problems and coming up with solutions that can be quantified (key measures, reporting, analysis, etc.).
• Strong analytical/problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, Data Warehouse knowledge/experience.
• Experience in a physician practice with electronic medical data and patients is desired. Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and critical thinking are required.
