Individuals in this position are tasked for keeping an eye on daycares to make sure they’re following the rules. This position is also accountable for making recommendations to Team Leads on the approval or denial of child care facility and center registration applications and renewals within the assigned counties and caseload.

Qualifications:

• Inspections and assessments are conducted on child care facilities to ensure that they are in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Owners, administrators, boards, and child care providers within a certain area are only contacted to the extent necessary to ensure compliance with child care standards.
• In collaboration with social service providers, investigators look into and record allegations of abuse, neglect, or misconduct.
• Notifies and educates child care providers on problems that need fixing, suggests solutions, and establishes timeframes for implementing them.
• Keep your schedule open on the weekends and at night if you need to make extra trips for safety checks.
• The goal is to foster an environment where employees feel safe sharing their ideas and receiving feedback in order to help the company succeed.
• Helps the state decide whether to renew licenses for existing daycares or reject new applicants for the same.
• Helps childcare providers in several ways, including by providing them with training, fielding questions, and sharing resources.
• Plan learning activities that are appropriate for different student groups depending on their age range and other characteristics in accordance with the center’s pedagogical tenets and with the help of other staff members.
• Collaboration between the division and IT is required to maintain accurate records of child care registrations.

Skills:

• Ability to effectively convey knowledge to a variety of target audiences, including answering their inquiries.
• You need a Master’s or the post-baccalaureate credit equivalent to qualify. At least four years’ experience supervising or instructing in a formal educational setting, or close affiliation with such an institution.
• It’s crucial to be able to express yourself well.
• Being able to read and comprehend business publications, as well as technical processes and regulatory requirements, is essential for success in this field.
• Familiarity with the Child Care Resource and Referral Service or child care services, as well as prior experience working with low-income families and/or child care subsidies, are all desirable.
