Qualifications:

  • Track and record all aspects of the problem-solving process, including both successful and failed choices, and inform the IT Support Supervisor of the ultimate outcome. Record, track, and document.
  • Keeping track of client interactions and providing documentation such as “how-to” guides for troubleshooting are vital. In order to protect data and computer systems against cyberattacks.
  • Perform configuration and maintenance on a number of different monitoring systems, including Windows Perfmon and SolarWinds. Establish and keep up-to-date an internal documentation system for the processes and procedures.
  • Install and upgrade software, conduct file backups, and configure systems and applications with your own two hands.
  • Offer more sophisticated computer assistance to find the root of the problem and fix it fast and painlessly.
  • Test the fixes to make sure that the problem is fixed correctly, and send in all of your findings and final solutions. Follow up with the users and the manager after the problem has been fixed.
  • Performs troubleshooting on computers, printers, and networks down to the level of the circuit boards, and replaces affected assemblies or components as necessary. Installs operating systems, device drivers, and application software according to the specifications provided.
  • In order to search and download approved software updates, drivers and knowledge bases, as well as frequently asked questions, use the internet (FAQ).
  • Find solutions to end user help desk requests, which may include difficulties with computer hardware or software, new equipment setups and installs, software installations, moves, decommissioning, phone and fax issues, and so on.
  • Maintains contact with the Customer’s Desktop Supervisor and Training Supervisors, providing them with written reports and documentation as required, and works with them to resolve any issues that may arise. Complete setup of your new computer, whether it be a desktop or a laptop

Skills:

  • Help desk software, database management and remote-control skills are required for this position Communication and client-facing abilities are required. Exceptional problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Engage in productive and proficient communication in non-technical language with a wide range of clientele, both internal and external, who possess varying degrees of experience.
  • Computer science, technology, or a related discipline is preferable as an associate degree. Experience with AWS, Microsoft Office, web browsers, mobile apps, disaster recovery and VMware is desirable.
  • Capacity to grasp, read, write, and communicate well in English and to connect with all organizational levels. Capability to swiftly adapt to new systems and a fluctuating business environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, browser and internet programs, mobile devices, Printers, Toners, PC and Mac operating systems, computer hardware, and other technical skills is desirable.
