Job Description

The purpose of this position is to lead and encourage teams across our organization to use data to address key customer challenges. The Economist will contribute to the creation of and allow solutions that range from descriptive analytic insights to sophisticated algorithms or models in terms of analytic complexity. From hypothesis through delivery, the economist will assist, execute, and organize studies, models, and projects that represent deep understanding of business concerns and are aligned with project and company objectives.

  • Economic research, evaluation and interpretation, production of benefit estimates, and reporting results are all carried out under the direction of an experienced senior economist.
  • Determines and proposes economic and financial data delivery schedules and methods to fulfil specified reporting standards, processes, and procedures; assists in the formulation of budget and economic goals and objectives that are in line with strategic planning activities.
  • It is necessary to research previous trends in order to interpret and forecast market activity.
  • Mathematical models and statistical techniques must be used to analyze data.
  • Collaborate with other economists and senior executives to explain and present economic ideas and quantitative data to non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing.
  • In response to requests from research sponsors, management, or senior workers, plan, organize, and report on research efforts.
  • Contribute to analytical research projects on a range of economic policy issues on behalf of public and private sector clients (e.g. market research, surveys, project and impact evaluations, etc.)
  • For analytic purposes, it is required to collect and analyze current data as well as conduct research to identify new data sources.
  • Assist in the development of the department’s toolset and products to fulfil business requirements, including the introduction of new and innovative solutions.
  • Conduct surveys to collect economic data, compare previously supplied data to current circumstances, and uncover links between key economic features for explicitly defined goals.


  • Additionally, the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form is required.
  • Teaching assignments in a college or university that included both classroom instruction in economics subjects and one of the following: (1) personal research that produced evidence of results, (2) direction of graduate theses in economics, or (3) consulting or advising on technical economics problems.
  • At least 21 semester hours of economics were necessary, as well as 3 semester hours of statistics, accounting, or calculus.
  • Entrepreneurship, small business, employment, and labor market dynamics are all subject to the most current economics academic study.
  • The applicant must possess a strong sense of leadership as well as a strong desire to learn and enhance his skills.
