Our service technicians are comfortable working at heights and with mechanical components in a workplace that prioritizes safety. In your role as a service technician, you will solve problems with our cranes and collaborate with facility directors and clients to make sure that our customers are appropriately looked after.

Qualifications:

• Carry out on-site electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic troubleshooting in order to identify the source of the equipment problem and establish the required repairs using visual examination, test processes, and the relevant test equipment. Carry out a general post-repair inspection prior to the completion of the work, and either record that all of the relevant safety measures are operational or document any defects, after which you should affix a deficiency tag to the crane.
• Keep all corporate equipment, vehicles, and assets safe and operating. Safely use equipment and vehicles. Notify supervisor of any issues.
• Work with the Service Advisor and/or Service Manager to give the Service office with machine information, including make/model, serial number, hour meter reading, and parts/equipment/supplies utilized during repairs.
• Compile and provide the appropriate electronic papers, using the established firm digital tools needed for each service, to get the customer’s signature and permission. Obtain the customer’s signature and approval.
• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at various client sites, as specified. Participate in service office rotations and offer after-hours service as needed by being available “on call.”
• Maintain an inventory of forms, literature, inventory, and other supplies in the service van. Document use or client sales, as necessary Keep the company’s car and clothing clean and tidy.
• Takes responsibility of the company’s safety policies, is aware of surroundings, and always wears PPE. Near-miss, accident, and injury situations are reported quickly.
• Before departing the project site, consult with the client about any repair and safety problems, and discuss solutions that will help the customer improve their material handling applications. Determine which items need quotation.
• When it is acceptable to do so, document the results and give remedial suggestions to the client. If necessary, also include a written “Safety Notification” of any observed or known safety risks. Find out whether or not the client plans to buy repairs, and then inform the local service office of the steps that need to be taken in order to sell or finish the repairs.
• A professional, accurate, tidy, and readable service report and all other necessary documentation must be submitted in a timely manner and according to specified rules.

Skills:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. They must also possess some mechanical ability and a willingness to learn more about automobiles and how they work.
• It is desirable that applicants have an associate’s degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or a similar discipline, or comparable training and experience in a vocational or technical sector. Required to both have and keep a clean driving record, as well as a current and valid driver’s license.
• Experience repairing outdoor power equipment and agricultural equipment using well-proven processes, materials, tools, and techniques. Outstanding mechanical, electrical & hydraulic system knowledge
• Candidate must be able to pass a drug test and a background check as part of the pre-employment screening process in order to be considered for this position.
• Ability to use a desktop or laptop computer with the Microsoft Office platform, as well as the ability to do research and get around the internet effectively. Capable of writing and speaking well to both individuals and groups.
