We need a Drywall Finisher who can pay close attention to every last detail. You will be responsible for sealing seams, repairing cracks, and smoothing imperfections on walls and ceilings in preparation for final treatment. Additionally, you need to make sure that each shipment is given the utmost care. In order to succeed in this field, you need to work quickly without sacrificing quality. You need to be physically strong, have a lot of stamina, and know how to manage your time wisely. The needs of the client must be recognized, the given directions must be carried out, and the project must be finished on time and within the allotted budget.

Qualifications:

• If you inform your Team Leader and Region Coordinator of impending material shortages, tool maintenance needs, and quality or productivity issues, you can assist them in organizing production in your area.
• Provides high-quality, timely, and cost-effective maintenance by communicating and coordinating with the supervisor, the client, and other trades and subcontractors.
• Be punctual for your shifts and honor the division’s attendance policies.
• Walls and ceilings should be primed with texturizing chemicals or a primer before the final finish is applied with trowels, brushes, rollers, or a texture hopper. Plasterboard and metal framing members can be fastened to the metal trim at the wall’s corners.
• Work effectively within a team to produce work that satisfies quality requirements while also meeting productivity goals.
• Sealant is easily applied with a trowel, wide knife, or spatula to crevices, openings, nail heads, and screw heads.
• Important duties include reporting issues to management and properly using company resources.
• Keeping everything as safe and clean as possible by always following the rules. At all times, you should have your personal protective equipment (PPE) on you (PPE).
• Interior painting, vinyl wallpaper restoration, staining, and finishing with rollers, brushes, and sprayers. Performs tasks relating to the Finisher trade, including but not limited to drywall and floor preparation, painting, staining, and power tool repair.
• In order to be a good steward of our company’s physical assets, you must take precautions to avoid damage and abuse, notify any repairs that are needed, and maintain a clean and well-organized work area.

Skills:

• It is recommended that high school students take classes in fundamental mathematics, physics, chemistry, drafting, and carpentry.
• Candidates with prior experience in the building or manufacturing sectors are given preference.
• A successful candidate will have high levels of self-assurance and leadership, and will be dedicated to learning new skills and expanding their existing ones.
• Superb interpersonal and communication abilities
• Possess the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, grip, and work above head, pull at chest level, bend, stand, and walk.
