It is the job of the Data Quality Analyst to devise and implement data solutions in order to meet the needs of the company and its customers. The integration, cleansing, transformation, and management of data in operational and analytical data systems are among the most important roles of data governance. As a part of the data governance effort, they collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and software engineers to help collect and maintain the control inventory, measure the efficacy of controls, and manage data quality needs for resolving DQ gaps and problems.

Qualifications:

• For example, a quality analyst reviews data for conformance with the design specification (source to target) and expected/anticipated behaviors, and then advises corrective actions.

• Work with technical and operational subject matter experts to understand and collect metadata about systems, processes, reports, controls, data movement, and business terms.
• Condenses business processes into their main functions, then creates and documents those processes in order to locate chances to automate and/or enhance an existing process.
• Data quality problems are common and can have big effects, so take the lead to fix them through data integration and/or improving business processes.
• In accordance with service level agreements with the outsourced supplier, monitor and report on the quality assurance and production performance of external data resources.
• Regular examination of all standardized contact data and attribute data reporting. Collaborate with other analysts/teams as necessary to achieve the objective of analyzing data quality. The analytical approach should include both conventional analysis and company-specific ways of analysis.
• Assists in the teaching of study team members on protocol-specific data entry needs and encourages best practices.
• Work with other departments to ensure that data quality targets are fulfilled and engage in cross-functional teams and development/improvement task forces to guarantee that data quality is maintained.
• Provides user help and education, troubleshoots difficulties, and encourages the integration of specialized departmental data collecting systems with other computer systems (e.g. databases and spreadsheets).

Skills:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business or a quantitative field (such as business data analytics, data analysis, statistics, economics, mathematical, etc.) is required, or an equivalent amount of work experience may be substituted.
• Solid mathematical and analytical skills, as well as the ability to apply such principles in a business situation, such as recognizing relevant business challenges and developing quantitative solutions (key measures, reporting, analysis, etc.).
• A minimum of two years of professional experience using data analysis in a commercial context is required, with a high priority being given to those with expertise in direct and/or digital marketing. A significant advantage is having previous experience working with cooperative databases, circulation planning, advertising agencies, or brokers.
• Knowledge of research methodologies, statistical or data analysis, as well as excellent analytical/problem-solving and decision-making abilities; Data Warehouse knowledge/experience.
• Preferred but not required: experience interacting with patients and working with electronic medical records in a physician’s office. Must be able to provide evidence of outstanding organizational abilities, strong analytic skills, and critical thinking.
