Job Description

This Human Resources (HR) Specialist position is a technical specialist who provides the Company with a one-of-a-kind service through extraordinary knowledge, competence, and experience. Under little supervision, HR Specialists provide paraprofessional help in HR functional areas such as recruitment, onboarding, personnel records, employee relations, regulatory reporting requirements, benefits administration, and other areas as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Answers employee personnel questions and changes, inserts, and removes employees as needed in the HR Information System. Reports unusual or unresolved situations to the HR Manager, who will take the necessary steps.
  • Processes leaves of action in the Company’s timekeeping system and ensures that FMLA, ADA, and other federal, state, and local regulations are followed.
  • Keeps track of insurance coverage, retirement plans, and personnel transactions like hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and other personnel and payroll difficulties.
  • Supports local recruiting to help meet or exceed monthly and annual targets by coordinating with the centralized recruiting team. Ensures a positive candidate experience and hires manager experience through on-site interviewing, resume screenings, networking events/hiring fairs in coordination with other hiring managers.
  • Work with leaders to develop and deliver suitable interventions that will help the organization achieve its goals and align its culture with the company’s vision.
  • Performs onboarding for new employees, which includes inputting data into the HR Information System and offering new employee orientation. Ensures that data is input accurately and completely, and that employees are familiar with company regulations and procedures, including the material in the employee handbook.
  • Prepares routine and special reports by doing necessary trend analysis and identifying issue areas with a narrow margin for error and a high level of priority.
  • Human resources (HR) rules and procedures are explained to employees (e.g. Time Off with Pay, Tuition Reimbursement, etc.).
  • The HR Generalist is responsible for handling employee problems and concerns, as well as keeping in touch with facility management and Corporate HR. For the most part, it’s all about making sure that the company’s workers are happy with one other.
  • In the Company’s HR information system, processes performance reviews, wage/salary transactions, and disciplinary actions in a timely and approved manner.

Skills:

  • An understanding and familiarity with fundamental employment legislation and HR concepts is essential.
  • In addition to a strong feeling of responsibility and leadership, the applicant must be eager to learn and improve his skills.
  • Problem solver who pays careful attention to client indicators and tries to handle issues in a kind and simple way.
  • It’s necessary to have a college or university degree in human resources, labor relations, employment law, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities are required.
