The Nurse Educator trains personnel who serve people with developmental impairments, brain traumas, or mental illness. This role provides intermittent skilled nursing care to homebound patients.

Qualifications:

• Develops clinical unit-based educational strategies to attain desired goals, in cooperation with nursing leaders and unit-based educators.
• demonstrates the ability to effectively teach nursing personnel in order to aid with practice improvement (remediation), career development, or clinical progress, Maintains and enhances clinical abilities as well as practice competence, and serves as a model for evidence-based practice.
• Assisting people with tracheostomies, colectomies, osteoid and other medical needs requires training for those who help them.
• Integrate sales, reimbursement, and matrix partners compliantly to improve patient experience.
• Determines the requirements of individuals as well as the department as a whole via the use of needs assessment tools and activities geared toward continuous quality improvement; also organizes and/or delivers program material.
• Maintains awareness of regulatory requirements related nursing staff education and competence assessment while also coordinating programs to achieve these criteria.
• Shows how to use a variety of effective teaching and learning methods, such as lecture, case-study presentations, group learning activities, role-play, high-fidelity simulation scenarios, return-demonstration skills labs, written or online learning modules.
• Develops and puts into action an efficient clinical preceptor program that makes use of an evidence-based educational curriculum and includes preceptor activities such as instruction and support. Conducts an analysis of the preceptor program and makes adjustments to it depending on the data obtained from the outcomes of the program.
• Providing educational options such as orientation programs, individual development plans, in-service education, and continuing education opportunities, among other educational possibilities.
• Enhance patient and caregiver understanding of sickness conditions via the use of several delivery mechanisms, such as telephone education, in-home instruction, or video training for injectable medications.

Skills:

• Graduates of recognized nursing programs are needed to pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Only those having a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing will be considered for this position. Preferred: Masters of Science in Nursing (Nursing Education or closely related field).
• Capable of effectively communicating with members of the community, staff members located across the hospital, peers, superiors, and subordinates, and It is needed that you have a minimum of five years of clinical experience that is relevant, and growing staff development or leadership responsibilities is preferable.
• You need to have great communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to handle several priorities and work independently.
• RN license necessary. Required BLS (BLS Instructor preferred). National nursing certification or clinical specialty recommended.
• Candidates must have proven leadership skills and a commitment to education as a way to improve the quality of care and services for patients on a continuous basis.
