Assists the chef with food distribution and dinner service. Assists the chef with dinner preparation by putting up trays and serving the food. Breakfast items such as bagels and coffee are also available. Watching and stirring meals a few times a week. Dishes and work spaces are cleaned and sanitized by this person. Involved in a range of kitchen and dining room tasks.

Qualifications:

• Required to help clean work areas, dining room floors, dining tables, and chairs after each meal and on occasion after special events; sweep and mop floor at the conclusion of the shift.
• Ensures that personal conformity to resident’s rights is maintained; follows safety standards; and adheres to the schedule that has been set by the Dietary Manager.
• This individual is in charge of giving residents with snacks in between meals and serving them meals in the dining room if they want it. Help with beverages is always appreciated during a dinner.
• Helps get food trays ready to be taken to patients’ rooms. works closely with kitchen staff to find out what patients want to eat, Help clean all of the food trays and kitchen tools.
• Helps the chef prepare and serve meals. Toast, sandwiches, coffee, tea, and juice are available. Peel and cut produce. Morning continental breakfast for residents.
• Washing dishes, tableware, glasses, and other kitchen and dining room equipment and ensuring that it is kept in an orderly way; Ensuring that work is completed in compliance with all federal, state, and facility standards for cleanliness and infection control.
• Compliance with all state and federal requirements, including bloodborne pathogens, infection control, hazardous chemicals, and fire safety is ensured by this position
• Participating in routine or predetermined cleaning activities on a daily or weekly basis (such as wiping work tables and butcher blocks, sweeping and mopping floors, conducting dishwashing and cleaning processes)
• Assist with food preparation and cooking in accordance with universal precautions and state/federal legislation. Beverage preparation and service, Organizing and handing trays for dinner service.
• The kitchen has to be cleaned and garbage cans emptied; the worker must be able to operate fast and effectively to meet deadlines; he or she must keep a clean and tidy workstation.

Skills:

• Food Preparation and/or Dietary Aide expertise are necessary. Be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and undergo a medical exam to determine whether you have had a history of TB, Mumps, Measles, or other screenings.
• Superior communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal, mathematical foundations, the ability to work independently, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are all prerequisites for this position.
• Experience in the food service industry and a clean driving record are required, as is at least six months of food service experience. When considering an internal transfer, a worker must be in good standing (as measured by their assessment and employment history, as well as any corrective steps they have taken).
• Prior experience working as a dietary assistant in a healthcare facility is desired, but not necessary. Confidence in working with computers An understanding of the basics of web-based applications.
• The ability to talk to residents and coworkers in a professional way at all times. working extra hours when needed, even on weekends and in the evenings
