The Front Office Receptionist handles a variety of fundamental office support tasks for the clinic, including answering phones and directing calls, directing patients and visitors, answering questions, and carrying out as needed routine clerical tasks like data entry, file maintenance, and word processing. Prior to patient visits, make sure the patient files are complete and the essential information is gathered in accordance with clinic practice. keeps a collection of goods for oral health. Money is gathered and dental care supplies are distributed. consults with and schedules numerous doctors to coordinate care. keeps the atmosphere at the front office cheerful.

Qualifications:

  • creates copies of requested materials; may also produce and transmit facsimiles to clinic personnel.
  • Welcome guests and tell them where the restrooms are located as well as where to find coffee, water, and tea.
  • As necessary for the position, may carry out specialized services of a routine clerical type in strict compliance with established procedural rules.
  • Clinic personnel receive mail and process incoming communications.
  • Helps ensure business as usual by recording and sharing information about routines, deviations, and ongoing requirements.
  • Answers phones, routes call, takes messages, and gives general information. They also greet and point out guests and patients, as well as respond to regular questions.
  • Various ordinary clerical tasks are performed in accordance with the requirements of the job. The incumbent may use a personal computer to create basic communication, enter data, and print letters, labels, reports, and/or other documents.
  • Ensures the safety and cleanliness of the office’s public spaces (copy room, kitchen, conference).
  • Produces, maintains, handles, and/or revises various records, files, and docs.
  • Immediately respond to incoming calls by answering, screening, and transferring them as needed.

Skills:

  • 6 months experience working in a medical or dental clinic preferred.
  • Experience with and familiarity with medical and pharmacy software packages are desirable.
  • effectively communicate both orally and in writing (or electronically).
  • Ability to prepare and print routine correspondence, labels, and/or other basic written material.
  • Prior work experience in an administrative, clerical, or similar role of at least three years’ duration is required.
