The Warehouse Specialist is accountable for carrying out numerous tasks in a warehouse or stockroom setting and reports to the Materials/Logistics Manager and/or the team lead. This dedicated team member will carry out all inventory management tasks required to provide inventories for production and order fulfillment. Additionally, he or she will assist the Distribution Team in keeping a cozy, well-organized, and secure work environment while meeting or surpassing our customers’ expectations.

Qualifications:

• It’s part of the job description to receive raw materials and products as well as to receive commodities in the form of raw materials and goods.
• Maintenance of the warehouse, including emptying trash cans, maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment, and stocking up on warehouse supplies, as well as assembling material kits for manufacturing work orders.
• Keeps shelves, pallet area, and workstations clean; cleans shipping supply area; follows procedures, rules, and regulations.
• When required, serves as a backup to Warehouse leadership, organizing and conveying regular chores to Warehouse technicians, filing requisitions for common warehouse products, and managing national/international shipments to clients and other Taconic facilities.
• Shipping merchandise to clients, which includes collecting up orders, packing, recording information about serial numbers, utilizing shipping systems, filling out waybills, and verifying shipments.
• In charge of keeping the warehouse a safe place to work, including the coordination of routine maintenance of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other vehicles, and the escalation of safety concerns as required.
• Collaborates with managers/staff, buying staff, suppliers, and other areas/agencies to guarantee an appropriate supply of materials by receiving, inspecting, storing, retrieving, staging, and distributing food, equipment, products, commodities, materials, and supplies.
• Accurately manage records in an ERP system, such as inventory items and reports, troubleshoot problems, and provide assistance to other users.
• Coordinates the correct and timely reception of material from suppliers or other warehouses. Documents non-conformances upon receipt or discovery of damaged items.
• Observance of standard operating procedures is required to ensure that inventory, delivery, and quality targets are reached in order to satisfy customer expectations, ensuring that all goals are accomplished in order to meet customer demands

Skills:

• Capability to operate in a workplace that is fast-paced, focused toward teams, and multitasking, Capability to deal with private and sensitive information and data, A current and valid driver’s license is required.
• Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school, or technical or management experience at an equivalent level, one to three years of related experience and/or training
• Excellent analytical abilities to comprehend material transactions and reconcile variances in physical inventory. Knowledge and experience performing basic mathematical operations
• Belief that it is possible to create a work environment that fosters both safety and fulfillment The ability and pleasure of leading a team and boosting employee morale
• Skilled or technical professions requiring previous training to conduct operations and solve problems utilizing standards.
