Job Description

For the Cell Therapy Program, including the cGMP facility and research operations, we are looking for a motivated Program Administrator to carry out a variety of administrative and general office tasks. The university’s current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) laboratory will work on producing cell and gene therapies as well as other biological products for internal and external users. This position’s responsibilities include, among other things, gathering and summarizing data from various sources to assess program success as well as organizing and carrying out daily administrative tasks as assigned by the program director.

  • Support all facets of program administration by working with professors, other offices, and partner institutions.

  • Conducts research and gathers information for use in department reports. Performing first analysis helps keep data clean. Offers advice on how to organize and word the report so that its findings are most effectively communicated.
  • collaborates with other units to fulfill program requirements (human resources, financial services, student services, etc.)
  • Assigned responsibilities include coordinating departmental public relations efforts including conferences, seminars, and other large-scale events. Coordinates with third-party service providers to set up event necessities such space, food, and lodging for guests. Managing the production and/or distribution of advertising content.
  • Helps manage the administration of contracts and grants. Keeps an eye on spending, makes reports, and turns them in. Responsible for communicating with funding agency officers and university contract administrators to answer questions, address concerns, and arrange for site visits.


  • Skills with computers, particularly Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat for PDF creation and editing, and online meeting tools like Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
  • It is necessary to have a bachelor’s degree, although four more years of relevant experience can be substituted.
  • Ability to work well with others, a positive outlook on teamwork, and strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Three (3) years’ experiences in the field are necessary at a minimum.
  • knowledge of managing a company’s finances, budgets, and personnel.
