As a Child Care Specialist, it will be your job to aid the Lead Childcare Specialist in running our daycare. You’ll take on regular responsibilities while also demonstrating empathy for the kids and their families and making sure everyone’s well-being, both mentally and physically, is taken care of. In this position, you’ll help us achieve our goal of providing a safe, fun, and stimulating environment where children may explore, learn, and grow in ways that are unique to them.

Qualifications:

• Assists the department and IT team in keeping track of child care registration information.
• Helps the state decide whether to accept or reject applications from potential child care providers.
• There is insufficient coordination between owners, administrators, boards, and child care providers in a given area to ensure all facilities are in compliance with child care regulations.
• This role aids daycare center owners by assisting them with technical issues such as providing training, answering queries, and disseminating relevant information.
• Inspections and assessments are performed on daycares to ensure they are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
• The pedagogical tenets of the center and the participation of other staff members may make it possible to serve students of varying ages, sizes, and compositions.
• Establishing a community that encourages confidence, trust, and consideration for one another.
• Claims of mistreatment by parents or guardians are investigated and documented by social workers.
• Keeping your schedule adaptable is essential in order to accommodate the need for health and safety monitoring visits on weekends and after-hours.
• Issues that need to be addressed are communicated to child care workers, and explanations and explanations of those concerns are provided.

Skills:

• You need a Master’s or the post-baccalaureate credit equivalent to qualify. At least four years’ experience supervising or instructing in a formal educational setting, or close affiliation with such an institution.
• Experience working with low-income families and familiarity with the Child Care Resource and Referral Service are required qualifications.
• Exceptional social, organizational, and verbal communication abilities are essential.
• Ability to effectively present information to management teams, clients, the board of directors, and the general public and respond to questions.
• Being able to read and comprehend business publications, as well as technical processes and regulatory requirements, is essential for success in this field.
