Job Description

We are looking for a self-starter that is able to see the broad picture in a fast-paced business setting. If everything goes according to plan, he or she will eventually take over as CFO and report directly to him or her. We are looking for a hands-on person who is an analytical problem solver with great communication skills and technical talents in a number of areas related to finance and corporate management.

Qualifications:

  • It’s important to be up to date on current and future legislation, as well as forecast new legislation, in order to stay in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Establishes and maintains adequate accounting controls to guarantee compliance with all regulatory bodies’ regulations and directives, both internal and external.
  • Establishes suitable accounting systems for revenue recognition and expense accruals to enable efficient asset management for the organization.
  • Maintains equipment inventories, assesses new equipment and methods, and creates preventive maintenance standards and service contracts.
  • Organizes, supervises, and helps team members complete daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks in order to correctly record, classify, and control monetary transactions. Responsibilities include
  • Working with internal constituents as well as external tax advisors, ensure that the process of submitting tax returns and sending quarterly tax payments is completed in a timely and correct way. This should be done with local, state, and federal government regulations in mind.
  • Readies and creates financial plan changes and suggestions by reviewing and analyzing budget and financial information. Inform and distribute information/results to internal management and the parent firm.
  • Writes back to Property Management’s demands at all levels, including the development of specific reports, financial results and associated systems analysis, and the identification of potential issue areas.
  • Research, develop, and execute Finance Department projects, such as software and systems installation and other departmental or firm-wide enhancements.
  • Carries out research and analytical studies, producing reports that comprise assessments of expenses as well as evaluations of profitability and return on investment. Additionally, compares financial data and informational data to support findings and recommendations.

Skills:

  • A minimum of ten years of accounting, auditing, and financial expertise is necessary, as well as a proven understanding of accounting concepts and corporate taxes.
  • Maintains the outcomes of the work of the financial staff by coaching, counseling, and penalizing individuals and by planning, monitoring, and reviewing the results of the work.
  • A four-year degree in accounting or comparable experience is necessary, as well as five years of accounting or related experience, including at least one year as a supervisor.
  • Finance, accounting, or economics bachelor’s degree necessary. Master’s degree or professional credential (CPA, CMA) recommended.
