Job Description

When it comes to group and individual invoicing, the Financial Specialist is responsible for managing the ACH processes and cash receipt processing. The Supervisor reports to the Financial Specialist. Group and individual receivables are updated, balanced, and terminated. Process administrative fees and payments to vendors for the organization. Invoice for the processing and funding of claims by a third-party administrator.

Qualifications:

  • Individual accounts, PCMI, Western Growers Assurance Trust (WGAT), and other entities must be processed and verified for any required repairs on manual adjustments sent to the group ledger on the HealthCare Processing System (COBRA).
  • Journal entries, expenditure reclassification, and cash receipts are some of the transactional accounting documents that need to be processed by the accounting department.
  • Collaborate with business, compliance, and information technology teams to provide effective support for forward-thinking financial and compliance efforts by implementing solutions and processes that enable growth and efficiency.
  • Assist the Associate Analyst with monthly fee computations and rolling monthly reporting spreadsheets.
  • Checks the payroll deduction database on a regular basis and leverages inactive payment reports supplied by the billing administrator help ensure correct vendor payment. Monthly summaries of payroll deductions, benefit programs, and bills are conducted with controls in place to assure accuracy. Payments to vendors are handled correctly. Ad-hoc analysis is performed when needed.
  • Work and communicate with people at different levels of management and users to give them project status, timeline, and issue updates so they can help with systems/solution integration and process reengineering projects.
  • In line with approved budgets, the incumbent creates, executes, and advises on agency-wide policies and processes for acquiring, allocating, distributing, obligating, and spending monies.
  • When a job is done, it is checked for quality, adherence to instructions, and whether the goals were met. The person who does this job is called a “supervisor.”
  • The incumbent will serve as the recognized authority in the analysis and direction of financial programs and issues, which will include the planning, scheduling, and implementation of major projects involving the analysis, evaluation, and development of financial programs, as well as support for the operation of the Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) Program.
  • In order to acquire support for and buy-in for systems/solution integration efforts and process reengineering activities, communicate with and collaborate with multiple levels of management and users.

Skills:

  • While you must be familiar with end-user office software, such as calendaring and word processing, you must also be familiar with working with a health-care system that is not yet available on the market.
  • Accountancy, Finance, or a closely similar field bachelor’s degree may be accepted as a substitute for the required work experience at an accredited school.
  • Effectiveness in directing subordinates in the use of automated data processing principles, systems capabilities, and economic usages to fulfil assignments
  • Strong project management skills with a lot of experience with global project teams.
