Job Description

The Hotel Front Desk is in charge of all Hotel Front Desk duties. The Hotel Front Desk will verify that the company complies with all federal, state, and local employment regulations. As with other members of the Hotel Team, the Hotel Front Desk is expected to behave himself/herself in a way that exhibits initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, honesty, and confidentiality in the relevant areas of his/her performance.

Qualifications:

  • Contribute to the success of other departments, including Breakfast, Social, Housekeeping, and Laundry, among others. Keep the hotel’s restrooms, lobby, and any other public areas in good condition.
  • Register all of the arriving guests, ensuring that the relevant information is collected, the registration card is filled out, and a payment mechanism is determined. Provide guests with change as necessary and accept and record information from their credit cards and picture identification on their guest accounts.
  • We’ll know whether they had a good experience after they’ve checked out. If you can’t fix a problem within the company’s rules and regulations, contact a supervisor.
  • Excellent service to guests entails welcoming them with a warm smile and supporting them in acquiring information about the guest and things to do in the nearby region. Over and beyond finding innovative ways to make money, the hotel places a high value on the guest experience.
  • Help clean any part of the hotel that the boss tells you to, such as the front desk, the employee break room, the guest laundry, the fitness room, the vending areas, the stairwells, and the common areas.
  • When guests arrive, they should be welcomed with a smile and a warm greeting. Customers should be provided with accurate information about business hours and neighboring attractions in a friendly and open manner.
  • Giving all guests fast, friendly, and professional service, Maintain a high level of service and hospitality. Deal with guest concerns and complaints as quickly as possible and as satisfactorily as needed.
  • Hotel conversations, reports, and data must be kept confidential at all times. Handle incoming and outgoing reservation requests and lost-and-found items according the General Manager’s instructions.
  • Using machine totals, prepare deposit slips, and advise the Guest Services Manager on daily bank status, balance daily payments and expenditures. Changes must be made

Skills:

  • For this role, a working grasp of property management software is required. All shift reports must be reviewed, and audits must be conducted according to plan.
  • Ability to stand and move while performing occupational duties Reading, listening, and speaking English well.
  • Effectively interact with internal and external clients, some of whom may demand high degrees of tolerance, tact, and diplomacy to diffuse anger, acquire correct information, and aid in dispute resolution.
  • The completion of high school or its equivalent is necessary, A working knowledge of computers is essential, Experience working at hotel front desks, minimum of three years’ worth
  • The ability to quickly and accurately gather and enter data necessitates considerable computer abilities. It is vital to be able to hear and see the early warning indications of a calamity.
