  • Develops and administers operational and administrative policies for the program. Manages the transmission, application, and interpretation of program policies, as well as recommends or implements exceptions.
  • assures privacy and limits access to confidential information like faculty and staff files.
  • Conducts research and gathers information for use in department reports. Performing first analysis helps keep data clean. Offers advice on how to organize and word the report so that its findings are most effectively communicated.
  • Support and participate in the program’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
  • Provides assistance in managing contracts and funding. Keeps an eye on finances, makes reports, and turns them in. Communicates with officers from funding agencies and university contract administrators to answer questions, handle issues, and arrange campus visits.
  • produces and oversees program budgets, and makes recommendations for or final decisions on resource and monetary allocation. Gives out financial reports when asked for them.
  • Work closely with professors, other offices, and collaborating institutions to assist in all elements of program administration.
  • writes or supervises the writing of a variety of business documents, such as private form submissions, memoranda, reports, and emails. examines again and posts signage where necessary.
  • supervises the department’s PR efforts, including meetings, seminars, and other events. Coordinates with service providers to set up venues, amenities, cuisine, guest lodging, etc. manages the production and dissemination of promotional materials.
  • liaises with linked departments to plan for program requirements (human resources, financial services, student services, etc.)


  • Three (3) years at the very least of relevant experience are necessary.
  • Ability to work well with others, a positive outlook on teamwork, and strong organizational and project management skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required; four additional years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Ability with computers, particularly Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat for PDF creation and editing, and online meeting tools like Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
  • experience in administration, finance, and budgetary oversight.
