The Human Resources Department is now searching for a Payroll Coordinator. It’s essential that the person you choose can execute payroll on a bi-monthly basis with complete precision and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications:

  • For hourly employees, this includes keeping track of their salary and any other deductions they may have made (such as for a tool program, a retention incentive, or reimbursements for safety glasses and shoes).
  • Resolves problems with the timekeeping system, answers to payroll questions, and helps in the resolution of payroll inconsistencies.
  • Serve as the point of contact with our payroll provider to guarantee correct processing, timely and accurate filings, and resolution of any technical concerns.
  • The payroll will become more effective as we expand if you can identify and suggest process changes.
  • Performs associated administrative chores, produces and updates forms as necessary, completes cross-training in other financial operations, informs staff, customers, and the public about accounting and payroll-related issues, conducts problem-solving research, and performs research for special projects. Additional tasks as given are performed. It is necessary to have the capacity to manage stress and time constraints.
  • Coordination, processing, and evaluation of all current employee payroll runs, such as bi-weekly, retroactive, longevity, commission stipends, and compensation payment payrolls. All payroll data must be entered, including new employee information, address changes, direct deposit account information, salary changes, deductions, exception hours, overtime, termination/retirement payments, and tax withholding modifications. Asserting the correctness of the hours and modifications submitted and starting the check printing procedure
  • Time cards and schedules are handled by production managers and employees are trained as necessary. Assisting HR in ensuring that information is conveyed in a clear and timely manner.
  • Assistance with numerous audit assignments for the payroll manager (collecting and organizing supporting documentation)
  • Ensures that supervisors approve biweekly timesheets, checks timesheet inputs for time adjustments, responds to inquiries from workers and supervisors, and enters hours into the payroll module.
  • It is your job to know and assist the payroll processing needs of your respective operational units.

Skills:

  • During the first six months of employment, familiarity with contemporary computer software systems, such as email, calendar applications, job-specific software, and customer service systems, is encouraged or needed.
  • Must comprehend and be able to compute various incentive compensation schemes. Detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and data entry abilities.
  • The Certified Payroll Professional credential is preferred, although an associate degree is necessary. Three years of recent, relevant payroll processing experience is also suitable for this position.
  • Payroll processing and tax compliance research experience of at least two years’ duration relevant to the job requirements.
  • The capacity to operate autonomously, to be highly driven, and to be devoted to our clients, their team, and the company’s objective.
