Lifeguards are responsible for keeping an eye on the pool and its visitors, making sure everyone is safe from harm, and implementing safety rules and procedures in the event of an emergency. The ideal candidate would be someone who can effectively multitask both independently and within a larger team setting. Ability to interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner is essential for this position. It’s possible that nighttime, weekend, and reduced-hour lifeguard shifts will be necessary.

Qualifications:

• Maintains poolside surveillance and ensures compliance with all Club safety policies and procedures.
• Delivers first-rate support to members and guests by responding to their questions with helpful information, directing them to the right resources, and resolving their issues quickly and thoroughly.
• Aquatics coordinators are responsible for coordinating the club’s swimming lessons, group swims, and other aquatic program activities.
• Cleans the pool and surrounding area, including the pool itself, the pool decks, the pool furniture and lifeguard equipment, the bathhouse, and the surrounding fence and flower beds, in anticipation of the summer season.
• One of the primary duties of this role is to observe and enforce all policies and procedures pertaining to pool safety.
• Maintains a safe work environment by following and enforcing all policies, rules, and laws, as well as all pool safety standards and procedures.
• You’re in charge of cleaning the pool area, the locker rooms, the bathrooms, and the sinks.
• In addition to their primary role as lifeguards, they also play a role in guaranteeing the safety of the water and preventing accidents.
• Responsible for keeping track of, monitoring, and enforcing all pool rules and regulations during swim courses and Family Hours.
• Ability to read, write, interpret, and communicate in English to a level appropriate for the position; experience assisting with the upkeep of various accident reports a plus.

Skills:

• Capability to work with persons of varying ages and abilities.
• A high school diploma or its equivalent is required for employment consideration at this company.
• Able to connect with others and keep them engaged, whether they’re coworkers, clients, or members of the public.
• A current Lifeguard Certification, Community First Aid Certification, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification from the American Red Cross are required for the professional rescuer.
• No less than three months’ worth of lifeguarding experience is required.
