  • In order to determine probable cause, the first stage is to look into and evaluate the need for further evidence or information and devise specific strategies of collecting it.
  • By meeting with judges and talking about cases, you can make sure that all the information is given and understood. It also says that this person is in charge of writing decisions and sentencing in both civil and criminal cases, as well as giving his or her opinion or making a decision about what to do.
  • Prepares and organizes business legal papers, such as company filings and registrations, prepares communication, document assembling, and aids with outside lawsuit management.
  • Proactively search out business prospects related to the legal industry and devise and see through the implementation of appropriate features/functionalities on the website.
  • Law clerks who write legal opinions for judges utilize their independent judgment to do research and use the findings to develop a recommended opinion for the judge to explain the court’s decision and reasoning to the litigants, using the results of that research.
  • Evaluate legal arguments and authority presented by litigants and attorneys, using discretion and judgment to determine the issues involved and anticipating additional issues not raised by the parties; conduct legal research to determine the validity and correctness of such arguments and authority; and prepare legal briefs.
  • Additionally, workers should be assigned other responsibilities that need the same or less levels of expertise, knowledge, and physical stamina as those listed above.
  • To assist with client meetings, presentations, and other tasks, be ready to go to the principal’s office or other location.
  • This role is responsible for collecting, organizing, and indexing a variety of evidentiary exhibits in order to prepare presentations for court proceedings.
  • Ensures that all of the necessary information has been included in pretrial briefs and other submissions; summarizes information presented, identifying pertinent issues and other noteworthy elements; conducts research into precedential and related cases, laws, and opinions; summarizes such findings, including likely outcome based on available evidence, and submits such information to assigned judge; prepares multiple summaries for all of the judges involved in en banc panel (or argument court) cases.


  • Having the capacity to write legal papers that cover key issues, references to law and precedent, and judicial views is crucial.
  • An employee’s ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with members of the public, other departments, and colleagues is critical.
  • Be able to work well with others, to respect authorities, and to treat the public with decency and courtesy
  • Acquaintance with laws and regulations governing civil and criminal cases as they pertain to the Court of Common Pleas’ jurisdiction
  • Must have achieved a Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree from a recognized legal school at the time of enrollment or graduation without exception.
