The Junior Financial Analyst assists the Finance team’s Analysts in conducting analysis, making suggestions, and putting profit improvement projects, strategic alignment activities, and sales and income goals into action. To assemble data and assess the financial feasibility of different new products, promotions, and initiatives, the Junior Financial Analyst will work with a range of corporate departments including Marketing, Sales, Forecasting & Planning, Cost, and Financial Accounting. For a range of corporate divisions, this job supports with updating reports, dashboards, and monitoring key performance metrics. In addition, the Junior Financial Analyst will help in the preparation of presentations for different members of the management team.

Qualifications:

• Track promises, commitments, and expenditures to ensure that activities are meeting their periodic objectives. Assist with financial execution and strategy formulation for given tasks.
• Analyzes different financing structures, utility rate structures, tax policies, and federal and state policy support to provide a comprehensive business case for a project. Advice for the development of a large-scale renewable energy plan by the government.
• Additional FMD activities are likely to be discovered during the Operational/Organizational Assessment, as well as other organizational realignments or remediation.
• Help with the analysis and reporting of Tech Finance operations, such as monthly and quarterly forecasting, capacity management, accruals, costing, and labor optimization.
• It would be helpful if you could provide assistance in preparing the budget and the strategic plans. Maintain communication with all tiers of management during the completion of each and every budget, Carry out a study of the differences between the actual outcomes and the budgets.
• New hires and terminations, as well as personnel changes, are processed; accounts receivable, payable, bank reconciliation, and timesheet reconciliation are all handled.
• Support the implementation of new budget and financial initiatives that may otherwise have a negative impact on the business’s day-to-day operations, within the limits of time constraints.
• In almost every financial analyst job description, Excel proficiency and data query/management tools are required (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
• Performs a thorough analysis of the project’s commercial and financial challenges by drawing on strong analytical skills and extensive real-world experience. Incorporates a comprehensive analysis of the costs incurred over the course of a product’s entire life cycle in order to direct the appraisal of possibilities undertaken by the government and to pinpoint significant business risks.
• Make sure that all of the department’s requirements are presented in a timely and appropriate manner, Accounting for a leased property, includes keeping note of important dates, maintaining up-to-date schedules, processing invoices, giving journal entries, and doing account reconciliations

Skills:

• CPA or Master’s degree desired but not essential; Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar subject. Extensive functional understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook applications.
• Expertise in Navy/DoD Financial Management systems is a plus; or 5 years of professional experience in program/project management in DOD procurement.
• Must have expertise analyzing energy use, rates, life cycle costs, and business case techniques for big private projects.
• A minimum of two years of accounting/finance experience is required; previous knowledge with financial analysis is an asset. An advantage would be having previous experience working in a consumer goods store.
• Possessing strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a group setting are all essential qualifications.
