With the help of the customer, the Event Planner creates, promotes and manages events, including the verification and revision of event space needs, event schedules, event equipment, menus, and décor. Outstanding ability to come up with new ideas for group setups, meals, and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Take part in the planning of the event that the committee is responsible for, maintaining a calendar that is accessible to all of the stakeholders, and offering recommendations for plans that will effect the meeting’s objectives, setup, and execution.
  • Helps with events on the day of. Attend the event to help the staff and volunteers, help with registration and check-in, and help set up and take down equipment, supplies, etc.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate and pick a venue, using a standard checklist of particular meeting needs, possibilities and space price, keeping meeting goals in mind and presenting options for final decision to stakeholders with complete justification.
  • Identify the best feasible scenarios for the audience and the conference’s objectives, then offer the various room layout alternatives to the meeting stakeholders.
  • In charge of overseeing and managing the online registration process to guarantee seamless data input, badge and meeting list delivery, and contact with participants, staff, and speakers, as well as ensuring the smooth flow of information.

Skills:

  • a recognized bachelor’s degree in hotel administration, marketing, public relations, or communications; alternatively, a similar degree in another field. Experience coordinating business gatherings over a period of three years
  • Knowledge in event logistics, marketing, catering, and presentation. Written, oral, and research skills.
  • Accuracy under pressure while maintaining one’s calm and putting the satisfaction of one’s customers or clients ahead of one’s own needs is a must.
  • Acquaintance with organizations that provide services or facilities for events such as hotels and conference centers and AV experts and catering firms Excellent time management and organizing abilities, as well as the capacity to handle many events simultaneously.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite who can quickly learn new systems and programs At least one year of intermediate-level experience with Smartsheet, Constant Contact, and Excel
