Qualifications:

• Using software such as PSLF, PSS/E, PSCAD, EMTP, and others, conduct power flow, transient stability, reactive planning, infrastructure re-enforcement, generator connections, and associated studies.
• It is very necessary for an application to have guidance and control over the design and architecture of power electronics systems if it is to be successful.
• Compose a database to gather operational and research data that may be used to define performance criteria for new or updated equipment/products.
• Take part in the design, development, and testing of sophisticated power electronics such as converters and inverters, which use medium to high power switching components (>500 kW and higher) and related protection and gating circuits. The equipment should be designed such that it uses the proper devices for the task at hand, such as IGBTs, GTOs, GCTs, and Thyristors, amongst others.
• Perform design engineer duties for Distribution Power Electronics products, including key engineering and distribution system analyses from the beginning of the planning process through research, design, and testing. Assist with the fabrication, installation, and field verification of Distribution FACTS devices.
• Provide assembly and testing instructions for prototypes and production runs, execute verification testing on new designs and products, and do product cost and reliability analyses.
• Consult on the design and development of power converter topologies; the use of active semiconductor switching devices; and the use of passive components necessary for converter power circuits (capacitors, inductors, transformers, etc). Converters and inverters are examples of high-tech power electronics The correct semiconductors may be used to construct hardware for a variety of purposes (IGBTs, GTOs, GCTs, Thyristors, etc.).
• Oversee the operation of critical elements including solar panel arrays, power regulation and distribution systems, and high-density battery storage systems, The engineering team should be involved in every step of this integration.
• Involve yourself in the creation of new proposals, including the development of technical ideas, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Daily tasks include production support, technical and status briefings, trade studies, technical analysis and reports, failure analysis, and electrical and electronic design.

Skills:

• To do circuit and system analysis, you’ll need to be familiar with a variety of computer simulation programmers (such as MatLAB, MathCAD, Simulink, PSpice, and others).
• Design, development, manufacturing, assembly and testing of power electronics or analogue hardware, with an emphasis on power systems and analogue electronics in space conditions.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or comparable technical field with 9 years of experience, Master’s degree in similar field with 7 years of experience, or Ph.D. in similar field with 5 years of experience.
• Solid knowledge of power electronics design. Control and modulation techniques for power electronics, power electronics circuit modelling and simulation, magnetic component design and selection, switching device selection, testing and gate driver design, schematic drawing and PCB layout, basic thermal management and heat sink selection, hands-on experience with kW level power electronics design and testing, etc.
• Ability to work well in a team and effectively communicate both orally and in writing, Excellent abilities in the areas of planning, organizing, and follow-up.
