The Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s finances and accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and the production of financial reports. It’s important for you to have a thorough understanding of manufacturing cost accounting. Payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting will all fall under your obligations as a supervisor in this position.

Qualifications:

• The administration of all financial activities, including accounts payable, invoicing and collections, and payroll, is required for this duty to be performed effectively.
• Maintain control over invoicing dates and other cash management methods to guarantee timely payment of invoices.
• In order to guarantee that all financial regulations and procedures are followed correctly, it is the duty of this department. Set up new policies and processes in order to increase the accuracy of financial reporting and the efficiency of closure and reporting activities.
• The Finance Department has to do research, prepare for implementation, and carry out initiatives like deploying software and systems or making other departmental or organizational upgrades when required.
• Accounts Receivable Management: Ensure that procedures are followed. Make sure money is allocated correctly; examine and remit sales tax. Negotiate with customers to address collection concerns, if any arise.
• Adhere to established accounting and reporting practices, principles, and conservatism, and do not deviate from them. The ultimate aim is to ensure the accuracy of the company’s financial statements, increase efficiency by implementing suggestions, and decrease overall expenses by coordinating the transmission of information to internal and external auditors. Comply with all reporting and tax filing obligations set out by your local, state, and federal governments.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cash-flow reports and manage daily cash.
• Create a financial statement each month. Establish accounting documents and reconcile bank statements Monthly financial statements must be maintained current and evaluated for trends and patterns. Make it quite obvious that there are disparities Assign each employee monthly accrual to cash work papers; Prepare and analyze a cash flow statement Reports must be sent. Create budgets with the CFO and/or Executive Team’s assistance.
• Management of the company’s financial resources, including accounts payable and receivable as well as bank reconciliations as well as contact with the company’s senior management.
• Monthly, review cash disbursement transactions to establish appropriate general ledger account allocations and distribution to different budget categories.

Skills:

• The ability to create and deliver successful presentations, as well as excellent communication skills.
• Expertise in technology, data analytics, and management are all sought after skills sets. Public accounting experience is a huge plus in this position.
• Ability to swiftly and properly evaluate crucial financial data and determine the effect it has on the company The ability to take the lead on a broad range of initiatives that are critical to the company’s expansion is a must.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related discipline is desired but not necessary, as is the CPA certification.
• Having at least five years of accounting expertise in financial management and being well-versed in manufacturing costs
