The Economist will undertake market, industrial, and economic research in order to support corporate goals and problem-solving activities. Compiling and sharing findings with stakeholders, the individual will use various data collecting and statistical approaches to arrive at conclusions that can be interpreted.

Qualifications:

• With the use of huge and diverse datasets, aim for quick data analysis and the creation of new products and services based on cutting-edge analytics.
• To ensure the group’s research goals are realized while enhancing the core models, evaluate and revise current models.
• Ensures that personnel receives information and training as ordered and permitted; responds to information requests and offers help to other government agencies and the general public as required within the extent of authority
• Under the supervision of a senior Economist, you will do economic research, analyze and interpret economic data, come up with estimates of benefits, and report your findings.
• Work with other economists and senior level executives to communicate and present economic concepts and quantitative data, both orally and in writing, especially to non-technical people, and work together.
• Conduct economic surveys to gather economic data, compare previously submitted data to current situations, and evaluate the relationships between relevant economic aspects for clearly defined projects, among other things.
• The data and techniques required to conduct sound research to fill knowledge gaps and create new policy and strategy
• As needed, financial and accounting reporting systems are updated. It is necessary to conduct an audit in order to verify the accuracy of the financial reporting system.
• It is possible that research sponsors, management, or senior personnel have issues that need to be addressed. To ensure that everyone may benefit from the project, develop a study strategy, coordinate its execution, and present the findings.
• To ensure that the goals of economic plans and priorities are accomplished, policies and predictions based on a thorough assessment of the economy are employed.

Skills:

• Only a Bachelor’s or higher degree in something else can be used to get the experience you need.
• Individual economic research projects require planning, gathering information, analyzing and evaluating it, drawing conclusions, and writing a report.
• Having the capacity to simplify complex economic facts for non-technical audiences.
• These are transferable skills that may be put to use across many different fields, from the corporate world to higher education to journalism to public service.
• While dealing with data quality issues, handling a number of medium- to large-sized projects.
