We’re looking for a factory worker who can operate machinery. A reminder operator’s duties include everything from setting up and running the machine to managing the label rolls as they exit the reminder and stacking them on pallets.

Qualifications:

• Performs routine mechanical maintenance and repairs on construction equipment to keep it in a condition where it can continue to work well.
• Utilizes heavy equipment in accordance with the organization’s safety standards and procedures. Maintains precise documentation of routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Keep the facility clean, orderly, and safe. Clean equipment after usage. Check all machinery and report problems to the Equipment Technician.
• The ability to drive a light or medium-complex piece of city or utility maintenance equipment and operate it safely is required. This includes the ability to operate a rubber-tired backhoe and other types of tracked excavators and loaders as well as other types of maintenance equipment like bobcats and street sweepers. It also includes the ability to operate a front-end loader.
• Drives a truck and trailer rig to move earth-moving equipment or other medium- to large-sized vehicles to a job site. Follows safety rules and standards.
• Maintains open lines of communication with both internal and external clients, such as cooperators, landowners, the public, and fire departments, among others. has an understanding of safe work standards and puts them into effect, Participates actively as a member of a team in cooperative endeavors.
• Utilizing material movement equipment, relocates and places raw materials and completed components. Follow standard operating procedures as a guideline for vehicle operation and maintenance.
• mowing machines, front-end loaders, and air hammers, for example, must be used in a safe manner. Manual work such as mowing, repairing, and shoveling of snow and ice, as well as cleaning of culverts,
• Materials such as asphalt, gravel, sand and other construction materials are transported from City stockpiles or suppliers and unloaded for use in City construction or maintenance projects.
• Maintain logs for each machine’s operation, maintenance, and gas consumption in accordance with the responsibilities of the Equipment Operator role.

Skills:

• Evidence of the capacity to develop a service-oriented work atmosphere that encourages employee inclusion while also encouraging equality and diversity among peers.
• 6 months as an Equipment Operator I or 1 year in golf course operations or related role. Education in turfgrass management or similar discipline may replace job experience
• basic construction methods, techniques, and materials, as well as a working understanding of the hazards of the task and the widely recognized safety precautions, Manual dexterity and long-term endurance are required.
• Experience and a general equivalency certificate at the high school level or above (GED), A valid driver’s license is required, as is two years of experience working with heavy machinery, such as a forklift or similar equipment.
• Accomplished communicator who is trustworthy, fair to all parties and inclusive in the workplace. Having a rudimentary understanding of the operation and maintenance of power-driven equipment
