Job Description

The ideal candidate for the role of digital media planner will have extensive experience in both traditional and digital media, with a focus on business-to-business marketing. Have experience with digital marketing strategies, including display, mobile, rich media, and video, and the ability to develop, implement, and evaluate them. For this role, you’ll need a solid grounding in both branding theory and strategies for increasing return on investment.

  • Send out a request for proposals to prospective media partners for client campaigns that are in line with the customer’s goals and key performance indicators.
  • Keep an eye on how well your media partners are doing while carrying out your campaign, and set up regular meetings with the ones who matter most.
  • Collaborate to deploy omnichannel advertising approaches for paid media campaigns based on buyer profiles.
  • Learn about relevant media and partners in order to suggest buy placements. Locate novel promotional openings that align with the campaign’s strategy and goals.
  • Make suggestions for the client’s paid media strategy across many channels in light of their goals.
  • Work with account-based marketing and strategic media vendors to negotiate and manage paid media initiatives.
  • If you’re using any third-party analytics for advertising, check that they’re reflected in your monthly vendor billing.
  • In collaboration with the rest of the digital marketing team, develop paid advertising strategies to bolster both ongoing lifecycle programs and one-off demand creation initiatives aimed at consumers and businesses.
  • The making and keeping of diagrams, media spending plans, media buy approvals, and vendorINSERTion orders.
  • Monitor ad verification, brand safety, and viewability to ensure campaigns are being executed by partners as defined.


  • 4 to 6 years of experience in digital media marketing, and 2 to 3 years of experience negotiating advertising campaigns and expenditure with third-party vendors.
  • familiarity with B2B software purchasing processes and ease in navigating new B2B distribution channels based on target audience type.
  • Ability to negotiate and purchase native media and create engaging content. Knowledgeable in dealing with outside media sales teams.
  • Direct advertising buys with vendor partners allow us to decrease costs for our clients and provide them with additional value.
  • At least three years of expertise in media planning and buying, with a focus on paid search, social media, programmatic, and direct buys.
