Qualifications:

• Partners to establish and sustain a culture of hassle-free customer service, with an emphasis on selling based on customers’ needs and providing them with a positive, memorable experience.
• Serves as a link between the Store and the Planner and is in charge of in-store merchandise presentation from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Occasionally manages the store in the absence of the store manager or oversees other departments.
• Daily store inspections to ensure that stock levels, product placement, and customer service standards are up to par.
• Forms excellent connections with other shop employees and extracurricular groups to take advantage of promotional opportunities, special occasions, and help with off-site sales.
• Takes care of processing and notifying customers of special orders.
• Managing the department’s staff includes interviewing, hiring, and training new employees, as well as allocating and grading tasks.
• Executes Home Office-ordered markups and markdowns, evaluates financial data, handles purchase orders, and authorizes bills.
• Responds to questions and problems raised by students, teachers, employees, alumni, and other clients, handling tense situations as necessary.
• Makes and keeps up exhibits as per company guidelines.

Skills:

• A minimum of two years’ experience supervising and/or managing a staff of twenty-five or more hourly workers is required.
• Capability to lead and supervise others.
• Competent in bringing businesses up to par with health and safety regulations for the environment.
• Must be able to adjust hours and shifts based on business requirements.
• Highly competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
