Job Title : Department Manager 1st Shift

Salary : $ 28.95 per hour.

Qualifications:

• Executes markups and markdowns started by the Home Office, examines financial reports, completes purchase orders, and approves invoices.
• Creates and keeps up displays in accordance with the requirements of the company.
• In the absence of the store manager, may manage the store or supervise other departments.
• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of handling and notifying consumers of their customized orders.
• Forms important alliances with other store employees and campus groups for marketing initiatives, special events, and support of off-site sales opportunities.
• Responds to questions and concerns from students, professors, staff, alumni, and other consumers, escalating situations as necessary.
• Daily store inspections to verify that the inventory levels, displays, and customer service standards are correct.
• Manages the staff in the department, including making assignments, assessing performance, and interviewing, hiring, and training new hires.
• Together, they establish and uphold a culture of hassle-free customer service that emphasizes solutions-based selling and a superior client experience.
• Serves as a link between the Store and the Planner and is in charge of in-store merchandise presentation from the stockroom to the sales floor.

Skills:

• Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts as determined by business needs.
• Expertise in applying environmental and health regulations in commercial settings.
• Leadership and management skills that have been demonstrated.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• A minimum of two years’ worth of management experience with 25 or more hourly workers.
