For both normal and emergency treatments, the Dental Assistant assists the dentist/hygienist in the general treatment of patients, which includes diagnostic, preventative, restorative, periodontal, endodontic and pedodontic dental care.

Qualifications:

• Transferring equipment and supplies to the dentist during treatments, collecting x-ray photographs of patients’ teeth, producing plaster models of patient teeth, and a range of other chores are all part of a dental assistant’s job description.
• Patients are greeted in the waiting area and escorted to the operating room. Assists the dentist in administering treatment at the chair side, at the dentist’s request or direction.
• Maintains dental supplies inventory by inspecting stock to evaluate inventory level, forecasting supply needs, and making and expediting supply orders.
• Use your resources well by not wasting them and not using the same things twice. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and do regular preventive maintenance to make sure that all dental equipment is working properly.
• Actively supports and adheres to all aspects of the compliance program, including, but not limited to, training completion and reporting of suspected breaches of law and Company policy.
• This individual is in charge of keeping the patient’s record up to date by obtaining dental records, questioning them about their medical history, and recording it for future reference.
• Assist dentists in surgical, endodontic, oral surgery, orthodontic, pedodontic, prosthodontic, and periodontal operations by conducting oral evacuation, constructing temporary crowns, custom trays, taking impressions, mixing cements, and applying light-cured material.
• Helps patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment. Orders office supplies, etc.
• Inspect and maintain the car’s external and interior look, as well as execute basic support tasks including oil changes, fuelling the vehicle, replacing brake lights, and so on.
• Promotes an environment that is good for dental and general health by having good oral hygiene, asking patients about their home care, and showing them how to floss and brush their teeth according to protocol.

Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certification; 2 years’ experience desirable.
• Ability to use sterile methods and procedures for preventing the spread of infectious diseases being able to help a dentist with four-handed dentistry
• At least six months of relevant experience must be included to establish the applicant’s competence in the position being sought. In order to qualify, one must have the same amount of education and experience.
• Being able to use computer databases well, understanding and using mathematical ideas and formulas, The ability to do the main tasks, procedures, and practices of a dental office or practice.
• It is recommended that applicants have a current X-ray license, Possessing prior experience working in a mobile dental environment is preferred, as well as being fluent in English.
