Delivery Driver needed! As a Delivery Driver, you’ll cover for our Tanker & Box Truck Drivers, manage inventory, and load and unload vehicles.

Qualifications:

• It also delivers components back to the branch or client after picking up buy out purchase orders from vendors on vendor “fill in” purchase orders.
• Deliver standard office supplies to a number of different facilities and clients in accordance with the delivery routes or priorities that have been specified.
• Compliance with all safe work practices, rules, and procedures is ensured by always following all safe work practices, policies, and procedures;
• Maintains building security by ensuring all exits are secured or staffed during business hours, and may lock or inspect any locked doors after business hours.
• Check the product and make sure that the purchase order and pack slip match the product’s description and quantity. If the packing slip isn’t with the shipment, make a new one.
• Physically loads the Company truck at the branch and evaluates the vehicle’s condition, the manifest, and other papers related to the deliveries to be delivered.
• Exceptional customer service is provided through everyday interactions with customers by providing service information and addressing any inquiries.
• Comply with corporate safety requirements, Department of Transportation rules, ALC regulations, and warehouse delivery policies and procedures.
• Document on the packing slip any damaged products, missing items, or other issues; take the necessary steps to resolve the issue with the shipper or vendor.
• Upon arrival, verify the order with the customer, unload and check the goods, get the client’s confirmation signature and payment, then drive back to pick up the package from the delivery location.

Skills:

• Graduation from high school or its equivalent, the General Equivalency Diploma, is desired. It is preferred if the candidate has completed some college courses and has a minimum of six months’ worth of driving and warehouse operations experience.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record. Minimum age 21 and driving history must qualify for corporate safety program.
• When physically loading and unloading trucks and storing merchandise, it needs regular bending and climbing as well as lifting up to 75 pounds at a time.
• Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, and ascending/descending stairs are all part of the job description for this role. Driving necessitates spending considerable time seated.
• To be able to execute basic arithmetic calculations, read road maps and interact with customers/peers/supervisors efficiently via a smartphone and/or tablet is required.
