We need a committed Delivery Driver. The Delivery Driver will deliver items to consumers using a company vehicle. The Delivery Driver must physically load and unload the delivery vehicle, check that all products are loaded and unloaded, collect payments from consumers, gather signatures from receiving sites verifying item correctness, and return returned items to the warehouse.

Qualifications:

• Physically loads the company truck at the branch and checks the truck’s condition, the manifest, and any other paperwork that has to do with the deliveries.
• Ensures that health and safety are the top priorities by adhering to all safe work practices, rules, and procedures and operating in a safe way at all times.
• To deliver to many buildings and customers, use set delivery routes or set priorities.
• Keep all exits protected or manned during business hours, and double-check any doors that seem to be locked.
• Follow business safety requirements, DOT, ABC, and warehouse delivery rules and procedures
• Compare the product’s description and quantity to the purchase order and packing slip. Create a missing packing slip when it is not included with the shipment.
• The customer must verify the order upon arrival, unload and inspect the product, get a confirmation signature, and collect payment.
• It also returns components to the branch or client after collecting up buyout purchase orders from vendors on vendor “fill-in” purchase orders.
• Offering information about services and answering any questions customers may have is an important part of providing excellent customer service.
• Documenting the problem on the pack slip is the first step in resolving the issue with the shipper or the vendor. Take the required measures to do so.

Skills:

• You’ll have to bend, climb, move around, and lift up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis while loading and unloading cars and stacking items.
• To be able to execute basic arithmetic calculations, read road maps and interact with customers/peers/supervisors efficiently via a smartphone and/or tablet is required.
• An employee must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time; walk; lift; push; pull; bend and climb stairs. Driving necessitates long periods of inactivity when the vehicle is stationary.
• Maintain a clean driving record and a current driver’s license. To be eligible for the company’s safety program, a driver must be at least 21 years of age and a clean driving record.
• Applicants who have a high school diploma or GED are favored. There must be at least six months of driving and warehouse operations experience, as well as some college-level study.
