The position of Credit Analyst has been opened. This position is responsible for reviewing merchant applications, determining whether or not they pose an acceptable risk in accordance with the Credit Policy, managing departmental Excel spreadsheets and producing reports based on data collected, calling and faxing bank and trade references to verify credit applications and bank references, using this information to make a determination on applications in accordance with the Credit Policy, and informing the appropriate departments and customers of the results of this process.

Qualifications:

• Assist the Closing Coordinator in preventing any unfavorable effects on borrowers from the closing process.
• Before putting in proposals for approval, make sure all necessary information about the facility and the client has been filled out.
• Improve credit facility bids for new building, ongoing building, and data maintenance by including partners from other departments or business lines as needed.
• Learn by attending credit meetings how to present new banking opportunities and adjustments to internal credit partners for approval.
• Calling or faxing trade and bank references to verify information on credit applications, and using that data to make decisions in accordance with the credit policy.
• Inform the appropriate departments and clients of the results of the applications received and the reasons for the choice.
• overseeing and keeping up with departmental Excel spreadsheets for reporting needs.
• Examine the submitted merchant applications to ascertain if they provide an acceptable risk in accordance with the Credit Policy.
• Before releasing the proposal, make any necessary edits based on what was negotiated.
• Make sure that the team responds to credit requests, questions, and problems in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with the established policies and processes.

Skills:

• Ability to analyze issues, combine information into key points, and make recommendations for policy/action.
• Possessing strong verbal and written communication skills is essential for creating and presenting reports and processes, as well as for maintaining regular communication with suppliers, colleagues, and management.
• Superior arithmetic skills, especially in the areas of calculating percentages, percentage discounts, interest rates, and commissions.
• the capacity to successfully time-manage many projects and tasks while keeping to important deadlines.
• experienced with Microsoft Excel and other PC-based Microsoft Office products.
