Job Description

It is the responsibility of a Corporate Controller to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the company’s financial accounting and reporting, as well as to ensure adherence to GAAP and SEC regulations. They also analyze and report on operational data, plan and coordinate external audits, assist in budgeting for the year and other board materials, and provide legal support.

Qualifications:

• Participate in the formulation and monitoring of capital and operational budgets.
• Examine the monthly account analysis and reconciliations performed by the Accounting department.
• Monitor and verify GAAP and/or regulatory compliance, including the implementation of any adjustments.
• Leading, helping, and growing the accounting team while driving efficiency and automation to suit the demands of our diverse firm.
• Actively taking part in the management of human resources, including team member coaching, training, and motivation.
• Account reconciliations, accrual schedules, and general journal entries, as well as all monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, should be managed. Reconciliations should be completed properly and on time.
• Effectively engage and communicate with customers, other internal and external stakeholders, and the accounting team at various levels.
• Examining compliance gaps with internal controls and making recommendations for enhancements are necessary.
• Help generate and modify financial and operational reports.
• Senior executives should have analysis and financial data to help them make decisions.

Skills:

• Three or more years of experience establishing internal control rules, standards, and processes for tasks such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
• 3+ years of expertise in the preparation or direction of financial statements, company activity reports, financial situation predictions, yearly budgets or reports needed by regulatory bodies.
• Either a bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field, or an equivalent amount of professional experience, or both.
• Excellent communicator who can communicate complex concepts and risk issues to stakeholders and influence their choices.
• A seasoned business partner with the ability to inspire people and develop trust in a new company and function in a complicated environment is hard to come by these days.
