We are looking for a dynamic Associate Editor that is driven and highly qualified. The individual who fills this role will help with all parts of an interesting first-grade classroom magazine. The Associate Editor will propose article ideas, write some of the tales, and assist in the creation of first grade lessons and activities. Additionally, this individual will do any necessary administrative activities.

Qualifications:

• concepts for all media, including recipes and articles, that may be integrated into the brand’s overall editorial strategy (digital, print, social, podcast, video, etc)

• Creating a planning document for each item that provides writers with vetted sources, background information, formatting requirements, and publishing dates is essential.
• When dealing with content with problems such as excessive violence or explicit language or explicit material or commercial product placement, use well-articulated verbal and written observations and practical, constructive advise.
• Guarantee that the quality of your journals is maintained to ensure that the Editors in Chief (EIC) and Editorial Board Members (EBM) on whom we rely are as involved as they possibly can.
• establish positive connections with members of the production, JEO, IT, and other areas. This ensures that any issues with your journal may be resolved promptly and efficiently.
• Assist the guiding of content production and editorial direction within the editorial team, external resources, and with other departments.
• Planning of product evaluations, culinary instructions, and interviews with professional and home cooks for print and digital magazines.
• keep an eye on journal submission, publication volume and transfer volume annual objectives in addition to target turnaround times.

Skills:

• Capacity to work well with various departments (Art, Photography, and the Test Kitchen) as well as with freelancers and other contributors at all levels of the brand
• at least three to five years of expertise in the area of journalism or writing, including experience in reporting and editing as well as knowledge of SEO and newsletter best practices
• Ability to work with various levels of employees on a regular basis, as well as the ability to coordinate with a team.
• Through grasp of internet publishing and content management systems, as well as content development tools like Adobe Photoshop
• In a dynamic and fast-paced setting, the ability to properly manage several priorities and a significant number of time-sensitive activities is required.
