Job Title : Concrete Finisher – Tuesday to Saturday Shift

Qualifications:

• To accomplish this, you get reports or work orders, which you then process, forward, or file away.
• Sets up the concrete forms and aligns them to get the desired depth and pitch.
• Performs efficiency and safety checks on machinery; reports any problems found.

• Applying a smooth finish to freshly poured concrete walls, floors, ceilings, or sidewalks with a trowel. Curing the concrete’s surface entails applying hardening and sealing chemicals.
• Using a powerful vibrator to compact concrete. After the concrete has been poured, it is fitted with anchor bolts, steel plates, and other hardware. Work the cement in with a sponge-rubber float or a piece of burlap.
• Restores concrete floors and walls by patching them with cementitious materials like sand, colored sand, and cement.
• Everyone from workers to government officials to members of the public to others are able to communicate with one another via telephones and two-way radios.
• The Concrete Finisher uses machinery to create and polish concrete surfaces, and they also help out with other Public Works projects.
• Performs manual chores (such as lifting and moving objects, shoveling materials, picking up debris/litter, placing signs, etc.) to aid the department in achieving its goals.

Skills:

• Following all safety rules and regulations and having open lines of communication with coworkers and management are essential for completing projects on time.
• Possessing exceptional social, organizational, and communication skills is essential.
• He can help with up to 150 lbs., lift 50 lbs., and carry at least 30 lbs.
• Minimum qualifications for this employment include a high school graduation or equivalent and two years of experience working with concrete, bricks, or a combination of the two (e.g., a high school diploma or GED).
• You’ll need to be flexible to work both day and night shifts, as well as 70+ hour weeks and nights in the summer.
