Qualifications:

  • To be assigned, conducts pre- and post-conference meetings, observes, generates assessments, and offers ongoing assistance and suggestions.
  • In the process of creating, preparing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating district programs and curriculum, this document offers direction to principals and managers.
  • Ensures staff coverage across programs, arranges staff development activities, writes agendas, letters, and reports, responds to inquires, and designs and administers school schedules.
  • uses research-backed and technically sound approaches to inform their judgments and activities; creation and improvement of student intervention methods in collaboration with school personnel and parents
  • Coordinates the Individualized Education Plan (IEP), monitors Due Process, and provides assistance to students and employees in the event of an emergency.
  • A wide range of therapeutic options, including individual, group, or system-level interventions, to improve academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health outcomes.
  • Communicate psychological exam findings to parents, teachers, and others so they may better address children’ needs;
  • Ensures consistency in the interpretation and execution of rules and procedures, working closely with students, teachers, staff, and parents, to create and execute comprehensive student behavioral and punishment programs.
  • Serve on multidisciplinary teams to meet the needs of at-risk kids and students with disabilities via the special education evaluation, eligibility, and placement process.
  • Participates in a range of meetings, including district meetings, parent or guardian conferences, special education briefings, staff and/or committee meetings, staff development sessions, and/or other meetings as appropriate.

Skills:

  • A familiarity with database management systems, data analysis, and the development of strategic action plans are all required. A familiarity with federal and state legislation, both pertaining to education and kids, that are currently in effect.
  • The most recent advances in child psychology and a comprehension of the fundamental theories, assessments, and behavior modification approaches of child psychology Ability to educate pupils in a way that takes into account the unique learning preferences of each learner.
  • Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board granted Master’s degree in Educational Administration, Licensed or ability to get a license as a Director of Special Education.
  • Assessment procedures; systematic processes to gather data, integrate assessment findings into service delivery choices, and evaluate service outcomes
  • An understanding of learning processes, the proper instructional interventions to fulfill students’ requirements, and the capacity to implement and evaluate their efficacy
