You will manage select contractors, distributors, and suppliers while assisting the Procurement Team as a Procurement Manager. You will work as part of a procurement team to fulfill or exceed the company’s sourcing targets and yearly business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Risk management processes should be established in the case of product shortages. Make sure all departments are aware of product and vendor price changes and keep them up to date.
• Extensive interactions with internal staff and external client representatives at different management levels on operations, scheduling, or certain stages of projects and contracts.
• Maintain frequent contact with the company’s financial, legal, and compliance departments to ensure that contracts and conditions are fair. Oversee and allocate responsibilities across departments as needed for the support of buying resources.
• To reach performance targets, work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and enhance vendor management methods, tools, and policies.
• All lines of insurance bids are administered, as well as evaluations with the executive team, maintenance of insurance certificates and liens, records and files, and renewals. Depending on the situation, create reports.
• Consider ERP and material needs for manufacturing based on assembly requirements, component replenishment, replacement parts or materials, production setups, engineering revisions and enterprise supplies.
• Assess expenditure processes to see if there are any methods to improve the quality of the items bought, as well as delivery times and inventory management.
• In charge of leading and managing buying operations, rules, and procedures, Manage the bidding process for contracts, as well as procurement, recordkeeping, and renewals, using the system that is already in place.
• RFP procedures are designed and managed to satisfy program objectives and needs. Establishes, manages, creates RFPs, and analyzes buying initiatives with the help of internal and client stakeholders.
• It is essential that contracts and renewals be tracked in a single file system that is up-to-date in accordance with state regulations.

Skills:

• A working knowledge of contract law, negotiation foundations, ways of getting products and services, techniques of doing research and market analysis, and methods of drafting and maintaining contracts. Understanding of the purchasing methods and strategies utilized by government agencies
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, ideally in business, business administration, or finance; or similar combination of education and experience
• A working knowledge of cloud-based services and software licensing being at ease leading and managing a team from a distance, ISM/APICS certification is favoured over those without a JD or legal training.
• Analytical capacity to analyze and grasp corporate processes, elicit and identify demands, develop potential solutions, etc.
• Buying or procurement experience of at least five years is preferred. Ability to develop trusting connections with suppliers and vendors via effective communication and negotiation.
