The Internal Auditor will be responsible for, or will assist in, the planning and professional performance of audit assignments and risk assessments, including controls and/or detail tests, such as (but not limited to) financial audits, IT audits, internal controls, operational performance, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, accreditation standards, contracts, compliance with company policies and procedures, and fraud investigations. Under the supervision of more experienced auditors, works under limited supervision with considerable leeway for initiative and autonomous judgment. All business rules and procedures, as well as professional ethical requirements, are followed.

Qualifications:

• Present and assist management in better understanding the P/L, cost drivers, and cost projections.
• For each account on the balance sheet, examines, reconciles, and makes any necessary balance sheet comments.
• Ability to run spreadsheet, word processing, email, and accounting software programs on a computer.
• Assist with the Supervisory Committee report, which provides a summary of the department’s activities on a monthly basis. Reports to the Supervisory Committee in the absence of the Internal Auditor. Keep in touch with upper management and follow up on audit findings. Complete customized projects as needed.
• Solid understanding and hands-on expertise with control and audit concepts.
• You should interact with people on various levels and in various circumstances while performing a variety of jobs.
• Develop and deploy data analytics to assist in audit planning, execution, and reporting.
• To analyze Production Financial Reports, as well as to gather and report financial data in a timely and accurate manner.
• Internal and/or external auditing experience, ideally in the banking/financial services business, is required.
• To obtain a deeper understanding of the industry and commercial lending criteria, attend company-sponsored training programs.

Skills:

• It’s challenging to manage several tasks at once.
• A thorough understanding of enterprise resource planning technology, as well as a strong focus on internal controls, are essential (ERP)
• Coaching and counselling capabilities, as well as excellent oral and writing communication abilities
• Responsible and forward-thinking are two qualities that come to mind when defining this individual.
• Make accounting tables and assign transactions to the right accounts.
