This role is in charge of keeping an eye on child care providers to ensure that they are following all applicable laws, regulations, and procedures. This job is also responsible for conducting monitoring visits and recommending to Team Leads the approval or denial of registration applications or renewals of child care homes and centers within the allocated counties and caseload.

Qualifications:

• Technical assistance to facility operators is provided via the delivery of training, the response to inquiries, and the dissemination of child care-related information.
• Using the educational philosophy of the center and the input of other staff, design learning activities that are appropriate for various student groups depending on their ages, sizes, compositions, and other characteristics.
• Inspects and evaluates existing and future child care providers to ensure compliance with state and federal standards and regulations.
• Informs and explains child care providers about concerns that need corrective action, develops a plan for appropriate corrective action, and establishes timelines for completing the repairs or improvements.
• In coordination with the division and the information technology department, is responsible for maintaining data on child care registration.
• Child care rules can only be adhered to if all parties involved in the industry in a given area work together as a team to guarantee limited cooperation.
• Helps the state decide whether to approve new applications for child care providers and terminate current registrations.
• Check your schedule to see whether health and safety monitoring checks need to be done on weekends or at night if this becomes a need for your company
• Social service workers and investigators work together to investigate and record allegations of abuse, neglect, or misbehavior.
• Creating an atmosphere that fosters self-confidence and trust in others is essential.

Skills:

• It is vital to possess great interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Effective communication with groups of managers, consumers, board members, and members of the general public, as well as the ability to respond to enquiries, are crucial.
• It is necessary to have a Master’s degree or the equivalent of 36 credit hours of post-baccalaureate academic study. Four years of educational administration or teaching experience, or association with one.
• It is preferable to have knowledge of the Child Care Resource and Referral Service or child care programs, as well as experience working with low-income families.
• Reading, evaluating, and comprehending general business journals, technical procedures, and regulatory requirements are all required skills.
