The selected individual will help with laboratory support operations. Purification trials, analytics, or development studies may be added to the list of responsibilities if they prove successful. The applicant will be taught how to work safely and effectively in a laboratory environment.

Qualifications:

• New workers, students, and residents are trained and orientated using competence and workstation operating standards that are integrated. This position oversees the procurement of goods necessary to carry out its duties. It employs low-cost materials and reagents in its construction.
• Performs effectively both as a member of a team and on his or her own, ensures that laboratory equipment is kept clean and in excellent operating condition, and carries out additional activities as specified.
• Does High Complexity Testing only under the supervision of a technologist or with a Supervisor or Manager looking over the results, Identifies important, unusual, or unacceptable test results and makes sure they are followed up on according to established protocols.
• Possible additions to the list of tasks include chromatography column packing, cycle studies, stability studies, material production, and some analytical help (HPLC, ELISA, SDS-PAGE).
• It is critical that the lab work queue delivers products on time, that the Lab Scope is well understood, and that the necessary lab paperwork and processes are well understood.
• Core tasks for a technician include making buffers, maintaining equipment, keeping the lab in general good shape, keeping an inventory of common materials, and coordinating all of these tasks with the other technicians.
• Takes part in evaluating and presenting results in a formal and informal setting, and, when necessary, makes suggestions, Analyzes results and reports them with little supervision
• Maintaining sufficient safety attitudes, procedures, and housekeeping on all work programs is essential for the protection of oneself, one’s coworkers, the environment, and the safety of the community.
• To collect and weigh test samples; to ignite samples; and to provide results Involve yourself in the laboratory’s daily operations.
• Combine and analyze batch adjustments, root cause investigations, and new products. Raw, processed, and final material testing methodologies.

Skills:

• Hands and arms are used to move items, tools, and controls and to talk, hear, taste, and smell. Office employees stand, move, and sit. The employee must consistently lift 25 pounds.
• This role requires manufacturing expertise or a mix of education and experience. Entry requires a four-year college or university degree in chemistry.
• or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED), Completion of at least twelve semester units in chemistry or bacteriology, with the former being strongly desired. Laboratory testing and analysis experience over a period of one year.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words, as well as notice similarities and differences between words and numbers. The ability to read and write basic sentences.
• The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with numbers using tens and hundreds as well as two-digit integers. Capability to do these activities with American money as well as units of weight measurement, volume measurement, and distance measurement.
