All of our Service Technicians operate in a safety-first atmosphere with no fear of heights or mechanical components. As a Service Technician, you’ll be working with customers and facility managers to ensure that our clients are receiving the best possible service from our cranes.

Qualifications:

• Preserve an adequate amount of paperwork, literature, inventory items as well as other supplies in the service truck. Use or sale to customers, if needed. Keep the company’s car and clothing clean and professional-looking at all times..
• Make sure to keep track of the machine’s make/model and serial number, along with the hour meter reading and the parts/equipment/supplies that were used during the repairs. If more repairs are needed but not yet done, notify the Service office.
• In the event of corrective advise or “”Safety Notifications,”” they should be recorded and given to the customer. If a customer wishes to purchase repair services from a local service office, advise them on what actions they should take.
• The equipment, vehicles, and other assets that the firm provides must be kept safe and functioning properly at all times. Safely and responsibly use tools, equipment, and vehicles. Any issues should be brought to the attention of your supervisor.
• Compile and provide the appropriate electronic papers, using the established firm digital tools needed for each service, to get the customer’s signature and permission. Obtain the customer’s signature and approval.
• Inspect and repair overhead moving cranes and hoists that use electric power at various client sites as specified. Participate in service office rotations and offer after-hours service as needed by being available “on call.”
• Conduct on-site electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic troubleshooting to diagnose equipment malfunction and establish required repairs using visual examination, test techniques, and suitable test equipment. Perform a basic post-repair assessment before completing work, confirming that all needed safety measures are working or recording shortcomings and attaching a deficiency tag to the crane.
• Actively participates in and takes responsibility for the Company’s safety measures, is aware of one’s surroundings at all times, and always wears the proper PPE. Reports near-miss, accident, and injury situations promptly to the appropriate corporate officials.
• Complete service reports and other needed and suitable papers in a timely way and in compliance with set rules.
• Before departing the project site, consult with the client on any repair and safety-related problems and discuss ideas that would aid the customer in enhancing their material handling applications. Determine items needing quotation.

Skills:

• Preferred: Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or similar discipline, or comparable training and experience. Good driving record and valid license required.
• The ability to use Microsoft Office on a desktop or laptop, as well as do research and browse the internet, is required. It’s important to be able to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, both individually and collectively.
• Having previous hotel, commercial, or residential maintenance expertise is a bonus. Pre-employment screening, including a drug and background check, is required.
• Driver’s license and clean driving record are required for 18-year-olds. It’s also a plus if you have some mechanical know-how and a thirst for knowledge.
• Proven knowledge of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment repair procedures, materials, tools, and techniques Excellent understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
