It is the job of lifeguards to keep swimmers and spectators safe by enforcing rules, administering first aid, and responding to emergencies as needed. People require the ability to function well both independently and as part of a bigger team. Possessing the people skills necessary to deal with the general public in a professional and courteous manner is essential. Lifeguards may occasionally be required to work nonstandard hours (such as overnights, weekends, or split shifts).

Qualifications:

• Keeps the pool area in accordance with all Club safety regulations and procedures.
• Assume control of the pool area, the snack bar, the bathrooms, and the sinks.
• Keep an eye out for any violations of pool rules that could put the health and safety of children in your care at danger when you’re teaching them to swim or enjoying time with your family there.
• To get your backyard ready for the summer, you’ll need to clean it from top to bottom, from the pool decks and chairs to the fence and flowerbeds.
• Among the many aquatic services offered by the club are lessons in and out of the water, as well as supervision of swimming groups and assistance with various aquatic events. Providing these services is a crucial part of this job.
• In a pool facility, the safety manager is responsible for enforcing compliance with all regulations, rules, and laws related to pool safety.
• Delivers first-rate support to members and guests by responding to their questions with helpful information, directing them to the right resources, and resolving their issues quickly and thoroughly.
• Guarantees that all new and existing policies, rules, and laws pertaining to pool safety are adhered to at all times.
• On top of their regular lifeguard duties, they also help out with things like hazard elimination and water security.
• Help keep track of a number of different accident reports. In order to carry out the responsibilities of this role, you must be fluent in reading, writing, interpreting, and communicating in English.

Skills:

• Candidates must demonstrate experience working with children and persons with disabilities.
• Lifeguards, community first responders, and CPR professionals should all have up-to-date certifications from the American Red Cross.
• A minimum of three months of experience working as a lifeguard is required for consideration.
• To be considered for this position, you must have either a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
• The capacity to establish and keep positive connections with coworkers, other departments, and the public at large is crucial.
