In order to guarantee the timely and accurate performance of team tasks, the Assistant Operations Manager will assist the Correspondent Channel Operations Manager. This job offers our Correspondent Channel lending partners top-notch support. It oversees the Channel pipeline, causing loan file reviews and conditioning. The Assistant Operations Manager approves Funding and supports the Operations Manager in releasing and revising Channel pricing and available items.

Qualifications:

  • Recruits, interviews, and hires new Library Pages as necessary. Ensures that all paperwork necessary for new hires is completed promptly and accurately.
  • Encourage employees to perform at their highest level.
  • A library operations manager collaborates with the daily work flow to ensure that the library’s staffing needs are satisfied.
  • Fills in for the operations manager when needed. These obligations could include handling or referring operational issues, resolving issues with personnel and customers, managing conflicts and incidents, and ensuring the Code of Conduct is adhered to.
  • As needed, assist with customer service, circulation, or the duties of immediate subordinates in the department.
  • Provides new hire and continuous training to library pages to ensure that all library regulations and procedures are followed.
  • As a point of contact for Facilities Management Services, ensures the daily maintenance and repair of the designated facility.
  • Helps with the scheduling of tasks for librarians, public service agents, and technical assistants in libraries as service points are required.
  • Establishes staffing levels that are sufficient to meet the needs of the library and schedules Library Page employees in accordance with anticipated workload.
  • Contributes to the general management of a library region. Member of the Regional Management Team. Collaborative work environments can be fostered.

Skills:

  • Complaints from and effective dealings with patrons with behavioral concerns are the focus of this training.
  • Ability to use diplomacy and tact to create and sustain relationships with colleagues, peers, and customers.
  • A high school diploma or the equivalent is necessary for the role, along with some experience in fundamental supervision. It is preferred that candidates have some college-level education.
  • Working knowledge of the overall functions of the library, including the circulation functions and procedures.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working in a library is needed for the role. Experience as a supervisor is preferred.
